Am I the only one tired of the NFL lockout? Do these guys understand that their game is the unquestioned number 1 game in the country? On top of that, they make millions of dollars playing a kids game!! The real issue at hand is the fact that the players will eventually need the money and the owners know that. The owners are in a position to play a waiting game, and most of the players do not have the discipline or financial smarts to have saved and prepared for something wrong.
Both sides need to put aside their differences, get back to the negotiating table, and solve this problem. People rely on their game; both sides need to wake up.
I agree, who can live without fantasy football? Surely, not my family. 1995 and 2009 Falls A.C. Total Points Champion - 2008 Super Bowl Champ.
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness its killing the rookies just drafted from the mid to late rounds. If there was not a season this year, how would the draft be determined next year? Too much money, owners need to open the books to a degree on what is earned, but the players need to understand that it is a business and how many bosses open the books?
I agree. This lockout seems to be totally created by the owners and their greed. Give the players a larger share of the pie. They're the ones going out their and putting their livelihoods on the line every Sunday. Is the billions of dollars these guys are fighting over not enough? Give me a break. The owners seem to be afraid of something in their books. And one more thing, isn't the commissioner supposed to be impartial and looking out for the best interests of the entire league? When did the commissioner become the spokesperson for the owners? Without the incredible athletic ability of these players, there would not be a league. Don't these guys get that? Come on!!
